I think the book is inappropriate to read aloud to children in a group setting. If parents choose to read it to their own children, I think that's fine, but to read aloud to a group of children is different, in that not all children will be comfortable with this subject. A parent knows their own child. A teacher does not know how each and every child will react to the subject. Some humans are just more "private" than others and their modesty should be respected at any age. Also, I didn't find the book funny. I thought it was quite stupid.
