Riveting because of its stellar cast, first rate dialogue, and dramatic evisceration of the bogus concept of “core truth” ( you’ll have to watch to the end). The court scenes are compelling, despite an opportunity that went begging on the cross examination of the rape complainant and was inexplicably left for defence counsel’s closing address to the jury — when she said “not here” in the elevator, the complainant meant “yes” to the sex and “no” to the elevator.

Browder chillingly depicts what it’s like to feel the stalking threat of the murderous menace who is Vladimir Putin. We also learn more about the magnitude of the money- laundered theft of Russia’s wealth orchestrated by Putin and his henchmen. Some take aways: 1. Putin was relentless in his pursuit of Bill Browder in the US courts, but he ultimately overplayed his hand and lost. Whether this will apply to the broader canvass of his assault on Ukraine is an interesting question. 2 Putin had no trouble finding an American law firm willing to advance his scurrilous accusations against Browder - never mind that they were the exact opposite of the truth. Sound familiar? 3 Browder adds some connective tissue to Putin’s electoral interference in 2016.
