So the movie plot itself is great. To be honest I only wanted to watch it because Adam Sandler was in it. At first I thought it was gonna be a normal coming of age comedy, but whoa was there a lot of unnecessary drama. I get it 13, a lot of dumb decisions are made, but this was just a bad representation of Gen-Z. The “nerdy” girls were with African American or overweight (or both) But everyone else was just rich and had no consequences to their actions besides someone getting their feelings hurt. And oh god the lip biting was way too much. This movie was very unrealistic, and I had to stop in the middle of the movie because I was so mad at the fact that, the main character “accidentally” sent pictures to her crush right next to his GRANDMOTHER. If that isn’t stupid I don’t know what is. And the parents had this way of thinking that just made them look so oblivious and just said “oh kids will be kids” type attitude. A part of me still felt like I needed to finish the movie though. And in the end it wasn’t realistic, but it still had a happy ending. Oh and I hate that Andy boy. Like did Andy and the bsf ever break up? Gaps like those really ticked me off. I’m glad this movie was PG-13 because anyone younger probably would try stunts like these. I wouldn’t recommend this movie, but if you want to learn how to not ruin your relationships, this is definitely the movie for you.
