It’s fine - watch it if you want - but it isn’t a ‘masterpiece’ or ‘must-see’ at all. People can mention current relevance all they want, but it still doesn’t make it a good film.
Overly temperamental characters being over-acted, not a very good plot to begin with - before being littered with holes, and lazily bookended with Mohamed Ali and MLK to make it seem a more important film than it is due to the current climate.
If you like it, fair enough - I’m genuinely glad you enjoyed it. Just not for me. I think I’ll stick The Meg on now and watch Jason Statham beat up a juiced-up shark instead.
