Watched it initially because I'm a Kevin Durand fan, but the dark, snowy feel of the landscape hooked me and the story hinting at a Wendigo type creature sealed the deal. It's great to enjoy a good story without a superhero or a gazillion CG effects whizzing across the screen. No over-the-top gory slasher effects was a plus as well. Both Kevin and Lukas Haas did a great job. Hope to find more movies like this one.

Beautiful cinematography and good acting depicting a little known era in Mexico, where its citizens were persecuted for attending Catholic services, and priests were hunted down. Beautiful score by James Horner. Should have gotten more publicity. Took me 10 years to find it, glad I did.

Came to the party late, so let's just say I'm in OPERATION BINGE HARD for The Last Ship. Great series, excellent acting and story line. It's great to see characters who love their country, and a post-apocalyptic world without zombies, and even better, no superheroes, just humans working it out the best they can often against the odds. Hollywood actors, producers and directors need to take note if they want American audiences to pay attention to them again, otherwise it's SAYONARA!

Great series and acting, especially by Holly Hunter for the first two seasons, then the storyline starts going from mystical but intriguing to "Oh, comeon!'. Watch it though, and you'll see.

What a bunch of maladjusted, nerdy characters... LOVED IT! You know a movie is funny when you're by yourself and you laugh out loud. Heaven to Betsy!

I had not been to a theater for many months. Spent a Sunday afternoon watching "The Northman" on the big screen, and it was a welcome breath of a movie that was not a prequel or a sequel or rehash of an old film. It was longer than most movies, but you are drawn in from beginning to end and there was no super hero who flew, ran or transported themselves into the last scenes and saves the day. All you saw were human beings with all their strengths and foibles, despite being set in the Dark Ages, we're still motivated in our core by the same thing: love and hate. GREAT STORY! GREAT ACTING! GREAT MOVIE!

Gave it 3 stars just for the 1980s nostalgia part (last 10 minutes of the film), but apart from that it was very disappointing! I'm waiting for original storylines, new music, NEW IDEAS! Why is everything a rehash of original great storylines? The prior Ghostbuster movie didn't work with women ghostbusters, and now they tried kids?! Yawn... They can't even come up with new villains. Gozer the Gozerian worked in 1984, because she looked like she stepped out of a NYC disco club, and the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man could only come from Ray Stantz's nerdy mind.
