I can see why this series had such a big impact when it was first released. I'm not yet a working adult nor a Korean citizen, but there was something about how they represented the workplace and the struggles of daily life that really captured my interest. I was really struck by the humanity of it all: how people look out for one another while trying to survive their daily lives, and just generally how hard they work to provide for themselves and their families. I thought the cast did an excellent job depicting some very complicated and nuanced emotions and situations. I don't know how realistic a depiction it is of daily life in Korean, but I was humbled and excited by the way each character grew in their attitudes towards their work and those around them. I'll definitely rewatch this one. HIGHLY recommend.

The content made it quite challenging yo watch this one, but I'm glad I followed through. Overall, I kind of echo what many other reviews have said: Kim Woo Bin did a fantastic job, so much so that I really wondered how he handled this role amongst his own health challenges. He brought a real rawness and vulnerability to Shin Jun Young - it was actually quite humbling to see a more realistic portrayal (especially by Kdrama standards) of what it would be like to suffer from an incurable disease. I like Suzy, but she often feels a bit wooden in her acting - I've noticed this in Vagabond as well. I think she has incredible strengths in certain emotions: she does angry, belligerent and indignant well. She's also a spectacular Cryer. I just think more nuanced emotions are a but challenging in general and I look forward to seeing how she grows into them over time. Glad I took the time to enter into this world. Cried. Hard. I really enjoyed it though. A wonderful job by everyone involved.
