Watched Byomkesh Gotro this afternoon. The film, in my opinion, is a fantastic example of how an interesting detective story can be converted into a lumbering tale of tremendoues ennui. Visuals in some places are quite good. Rahul in the role of Ajit is a complete misfit. The character of Satyakaam has been overdone. The entire methodology of Byomkesh seemed a speculative exercise. Though Abir and Anjan Dutta tried their best, the acting in the role of other characters were below-average. It seemed to be waste of time and money to me. However the vintage cars and beautiful scenary of Missouri are the only good things about this movie.
