Nia deserves a lot of credit for directing and writing a good movie. Is it as good as the first “no” but her talents capture a tremendous sentimentality to the legacy and for Gus a fabulous tribute keeping his spirit alive. Perhaps this story was more Greek than the others after all Mom isn’t doing well and Dad is gone but you feel there presence to the very end and feel good with an abundance of respect.

I am a huge fan of Tucci seeing him in this type of role was a shock but confirms his brilliance as an actor. The story is dark and very sad but the movie does present a provocative view of death and the supernatural transition one might believe happens after death in a beautiful way. Set aside some technical miscues and embrace the story and it's circumstances and you will cry for the loss of a beautiful child, her family and abhor the violence of a murderer who destroyed them with huge relief that he is not portrayed a hero and does not deserve to be.
