I read this book a long time ago when I was also a sixteen year old girl when my mom gave it to me. I'm a twenty-two year old man now and I recalled this book while on the phone with my mom. I remember loving this book, and reading it being very personal to me though I didn't fully understand much of it. I did connect with Nao a lot, my own mental health on the decline for retroactively obvious reasons. I remember thinking about the book a lot and reading it on the beech while camping with my parents. I'm in university now and I miss my mom a lot and so that's also why I'm thinking about this book. I don't remember the ending though, nor do I remember if I even finished this book. I don't remember where my copy is. I'm gonna get another copy.
