Mr. Musk may say what he wants. He is a rich clever dude but he has a ax to grind so I take that into consideration. Overall I am pleasantly surprised. I find the story line has promise. Ignore all the trolls out there that need the world to fit nicely into their simple two dimensional boxes, I will say the introduction of black characters requires some explanation as there are none in the Lord of the Rings or Hobbit trilogies. But it is not because I object to this but rather feel that it does need to be explained. And how do you explain that thousands of years in the future there are no more black people of any kind? Otherwise it is good to see everyone getting to be fantasy folk. Based on my reasonably objective evaluation of the series I find it to be a really nice escape back to middle earth. I think if we filtered out all the trolls the reviews would be very high indeed. Hang in there Mr. Bezos. The Trolls will eventually return to their bridges and caves. Be cool Elon. You two need to play together nicely. ** Update: Read more of the unfavorable reviews. I don't think they are all haters.. There are some really good points.. but I choose to enjoy the ride and not get to worked up over the bumps. You can poke holes in anything if you want to. And to be sure, there are some reviews that are more social commentary than an assessment of the story being told or the overall quality of the production.
