A watered down version of shows like Taboo and Peaky Blinders, made for audiences with softer palates. The dialogue and scenes feel like they were written not wanting to offend people.
If you're going to do a show about organised thieves & boxing in dirty underground pubs in England back then, then do it. Otherwise, slap a PG label on it and let the kids watch it.
Shame because the idea was epic and Stephen Graham is an amazing actor.
