Not a sympathetic look at Aileen. The book contains a lot of assumptions and made up dialogue about what occurred between Aileen and the men she shot. No one truly knows what happened, what the men said or did before they were shot. This book paints Aileen as a total psychopath motivated by robbing the men she shot, driven by an extreme hatred of men. It paints the men as being innocent aside from maybe being willing to pay for sex. I think Aileen was actually abused or thought she was about to be abused by the men she shot. It wasn’t my favorite book. However, the book is full of information on the case and trial which I found interesting.
