You’ve probably seen it all before but the show had some potential. A show about the dark truths of Hollywood and being a star is a topic a lot of people are interested in. But The Idol is mainly sexual fantasies. Instead of showing the downsides of being sexualized, it sexualizes our characters. Instead of having our characters grow and learn, they light a cigarette and put ice cubes in strange areas.
