This movie provides a sense of closure to millions of grieving fans of the late Sushant Singh Rajput. It will always be known as his swansong. His surreal presence fills every frame of this movie. Though the movie is an adaptation of 'The Fault in Our Stars', it is by no means perfect. The movie struggled to reach the audience from the time it was launched in October 2017 and then started shooting in July 2018. One can read about the many controversies that derailed the movie - blinds against Sushant, fake allegations against its director, post-production delays, and finally COVID that prevented a theatrical release. All this has impacted the movie, its continuity, and its adaptation w.r.t to the source material. I wouldn't care that the story is weak, editing is shoddy and the other numerous issues with the movie, because to me the movie is all about Sushant. The tragedy of his life and the trauma he suffered makes you feel that whatever happened to him is simply not fair.I do not think, I will be able to watch a Bollywood movie again after this. Maybe it is for the best.
