A breath of fresh air. The vulnerability of the great Sherlock Holmes portrayed so brilliantly by Sir Ian Murray McKellen. Other characters in the movie are equally convincing and relatable, but Sir Ian prevails. Simple story telling with brilliant performance can eclipse any big budget commercial movie and "Mr. Holmes" bears testimony to this fact, thanks to the wonderful direction and brilliant portrayal by lead characters in this film.
