Vettaiyan is TJ Gnanavel’s portrayal of our very own Rajinikanth aka Thalaivar in a classic commercial avatar. While the first half has a slight lag, the movie includes all the elements Gnanavel is known for: social issues woven into the screenplay, plot twists, and emotional moments that captivate the audience. Though some may find parts of the plot predictable, as is common in commercial films, the director introduces unexpected surprises that keep viewers engaged.
At 73, Thalaivar delivers an outstanding performance, as always. A note to fans: don't expect this film to be like Jailer, Vettaiyan has a different tempo, but there’s no shortage of excitement. Love you, Thalaiva!
After 33 years, Big B of Indian cinema, Amitabh Bachchan, shares the screen with our superstar. He brings an incredible, anchor-like presence to his character, delivering a strong and memorable performance.
FaFa, as Patrick aka Battery, steals the show. At the peak of his career, it’s a surprise that he took on this role, but his humble nature shines through, and he takes the audience for a ride with his stellar performance.
Manju Warrier, my absolute favorite, played her part beautifully and won everyone’s heart. I do wish her character had been given more scenes and a stronger presence, but no matter what, I’ll always love her.
Dushara is the heart and soul of the movie; I can’t imagine anyone else playing her role, she’s simply outstanding.

The rest of the cast is well-chosen, each adding value and making the movie even better.
Thank you, TJ Gnanavel, for this massive treat🤖🖖🏻
