Season 1 was pretty good, but all downhill from there. If you binge watch the 6 series thus far (what else is there to do in covid lock down?), you'll notice that it devolves into a soap opera. Everyone cries. All the time. They're always snotty and snivelling. The dialogue never changes, eg 'I lied', 'Do you trust him/her?' 'Why didn't you tell me?' The scriptwriters have run out of ideas. There's nothing interesting or clever about the myriad situations the characters find themselves in.
Flat Stanley has more depth than the characters, especially 'the kids'. I want to slap every one of them for the painfully bad acting.
Weak storyline too. How on earth does an ugly white dude with no personality like Sam, end up with two beautiful black women?
The next episode I watch, I hope the FBI drags all their sorry arses to prison. Put an end to this ridiculous saga.
Worth watching for Cicely Tyson and Viola Davis. Timothy Hutton was good too, but got bumped off early.
