If you were confused about the storyline, I think you might be part of the problem 😂. It's a very obvious metaphor for toxic masculinity and done in a very literal way. I read a review about how the character didn't grow or address her trauma. She clearly did. Her trauma being that her husband gas lit her into thinking his suicide was her fault. Even after he hit her and was manipulative towards her. All of the men in her life on her healing journey were the same. Like we should be able to trust the church leadership, the police but after a while they all start looking the same. Like the church has never been a safe space for women to heal although it should be. She does to the church for healing and somehow even in death the church leadership is on her husband's side in blaming her. But by the end she grows weary of these men not growing.
Just rebirthing the same stuff and coming to her for sympathy and healing . She's tired of it. She knows she is not at fault.
