Former personal assistant to Harvey Weinstein 'Leslye Headland' attempts to further aid in the destruction and apathy of a once-beloved multi-billion dollar sci-fi franchise. A recent interview with the director not only displays her contempt for the audience by agreeing that 'all nerds are gay'. But further adds that the show is 'the gayest Star Wars show ever', adding that C-3PO and R2D2 also must be gay. Any director or person who has their entire identity consisting of their sexual preference is at worst: psychotic, and at best: incredibly boring. So far the series has portrayed and warped Jedi towards a different franchise entirely. Badly choreographed slow-motion fighting with Carrie-Anne Moss makes the show feel like it was trying to be another Matrix system created by the Architect. The acting was awful, with the exception of Lee Jung-Jae, who ironically being a student of english, still managed to barely carry this corpse limping to the finish line. The worst acting given by Rebecca Henderson, wife of the director Leslye Headland, who's bad acting skills seemed to suggest she had been given the role because of her relationship with the director. The plot-twist, which can be seen from a hundred miles away, was unoriginal and souless. Yes, she has a twin. And yes, the masked villain will be their mother. And yes, she will be gay. And yes, she will have given birth to the twins with another mother (which makes perfect sense). As a long-time Star Wars fan, since the original and prequel trilogy, I can safely say that apathy is starting to settle in for this once-loved franchise. Since Disney bought LucasFilm years ago it has been nothing but a string of gender, racial and sexual identity-politics by half-hearted corporates. Instead of bringing passionate Star Wars lore to the big screen by passionate Star Wars 'geeks' that these people apparently love to slander. The show and its directors seem to take glee in removing any potential for any characters being white and male from their line-up. Every scene, environment and world within the show is filled with 99% female characters. The show is less than hundred years before the prequels. Where is Yoda? Where is Plagueis? Did all the men in Star Wars suddenly vanish? Divisive politics has ruined another franchise, and is yet another installment to break canon and George Lucas' lore and vision for his creation. Either fire Kathleen Kennedy and give the franchise back to George Lucas, or watch the company continue to burn money until Disney is king of the ashes. Which they have done with every IP they have bought in the last 10-15 years (Marvel, Indiana Jones, Doctor Who etc). 'Obi-Wan Kenobi', a series containing two of the biggest main characters in Star Wars, was given $90 million. How did this series cost $180 million?!
