This could be a wonderful show! They get some fantastic talent. However, we are tired of 3 glaring problems causing us to quit watching it. 1. One judge (Not Simon) has no business judging a talent competition. A number of the contestants are great singers (example the woman who sang Never Enough, which I heard at a hotel the following night). A talent show will always include singers. He has no understanding of music, no ability to really appreciate it, therefore someone who can't really HEAR music should not be judging it. (To the contrary Simon has a great ear for music). 2. Awful directing. The camera angle changes every few seconds, and the TV viewers are treated to constant views of judges, audience and Terry interrupting our appreciation of the talent. 3. Worst production design I have ever seen! The production design should subtly highlight the talent, not over ride it! The busiest backdrops I have ever seen and fireworks during a performance?!? Looks like the design team is trying to highlight THEIR abilities, not the talent we are there to view.
