This is a really bad movie and a completely misguided interpretation of one of the best Jane Austin’s books … It probably will have “the honor” of being a worse Jane Austin’s adaptation ever.. It will go down in the history as something like what not to do with well known and loved books. And plainly incompetent screenwriting and directing frankly. It is not really about the acting ( although Dakota Jonson is really, really wrong for the role), but mainly about the ridiculous writing and multiple ridiculous skin crawling scenes (like when Anne loudly announced at the dinner that her sister’s husband proposed to her before proposing to her sister? Seriously?… Also, in this movie Anne is a full blown alcoholic, who cannot part with a bottle of wine?). In any case the blames are on the director and the screenwriter i guess. I am not even going to discuss how they completely disrespected the novel.
