Watched episode 1 and probably won't watch more. It's all just "Look there's (thing from game)!!" "Is that (blank)?! From the game?!" No enjoyable writing, poor execution of character, sex scenes first episode when it was clearly not needed and could've easily been an innuendo that left more space for something actually interesting to happening. And a very poorly written female lead. She essentially is okay with selling herself off for "breeding" with another vaults man, which heavily backfires, as it was really raiders in vault suits. Which was more than expected. She asks odd, out of touch questions, like what her "husband to be's" sperm count is, and seems like someone wrote her as an overpowered oc for fallout rather than a character meant to fit into a TV show. There's literally a part where she lists off all of her "capabilities and strengths" and lists so much that she really does seem overpowered for what a vault dweller in a control vault would be. Keep in mind, people of control vaults would be doing everyday activities such as chores, cooking, lounging and spending time with each other, keeping their health in tact with moderate daily exercise, not wrestling each other, and probably wouldn't have a gun range or guns that were used outside of by security personnel, which control vaults may not have even had. There weren't any plot twists. From the start of the episode to the end, it's predictable and poorly written. I doubt any research was actually done for this show other than a quick search for relevant weapon models, brands and figures. And if you don't like cousin jokes or find them gross and unfunny, it's definitely not for you. The gore was okay and decently well executed, but that's all it has going for it. It's gore. Fake blood here, scars here, cheek hanging off there. It wasn't done poorly, but some parts could have been cooler. Seeing the stimpack in action was kinda cool, but nothing miraculous either. There is some nice details going on with the BOS, but again, gets overshadowed by low brow humor of a guy masturbating in the bunks, and while I understand Fallout doesn't have the most top tier-high end humor, even in the games, I do also understand that it was a poor attempt at the writers trying to get a laugh out of some of the more immature people watching. And it's sad that it worked for some people. You do get to watch one person's foot get absolutely torn up by a razor blade tucked in their boot, but it would've been cool to get some clearer visuals and to see some of the work done to patch it up. I do think having a nonbinary character is really cool, good representation of how some people may have been feeling coming out of a time with super traditional man and woman roles and an absolute annihilation of everything the once knew to where the existence of those roles was now improbable, but immediately having them get hurt was a bit of a bummer, I feel like there could have been something more interesting done with them. All-in-all, I didn't find the first episode enjoyable enough to care about the rest of it, really. They took a great game and made a over hyped, over rated, bland, unenjoyable and unimaginative series out of it
