For those who have never read the books, you *may* enjoy it. Like most others, I have been waiting for this to get turned into a film or series since I read the books in my teens. By far it's my favourite Anne Rice series. The show is so far from the books, it's sad. Poor writing, poor acting (did they have to make Rowan so annoying?), gaps in thought process. One moment Rowan is crying and screaming in fear, the next she is a badass super witch? It really felt like flow was jagged and scattered. The book series had so much to unpack, this adaptation flew through and missed so much. How could they not include Mona? Le sigh. As a die hard fan of the books, I will keep watching. But I'm very disappointed. 😥
