I'm not a clean freak, but cannot believe people let their homes get in such a disgusting mess, if you're struggling ask someone/or pay £15 for a cleaner for an hour. I just don't understand how it gets so bad. Must admit to allow a TV crew in, is exceedingly brave. I would be absolutely mortified.

A really heartwarming drama series tackling some very difficult topics. Have just watched an episode where the effects of thalidomide are shown, without the medical professionals of the time knowing why... Heartbreaking, and the performance by Liz White just beautiful.

Some of the writing has been absolutely dire, however just caught today's episode (Monday 24th May) and Lucy Benjamin's portrayal of a bullied, abused wife was worthy of a Bafta award. Brilliant performance.

A brilliant series, though very difficult to watch knowing it was based on real life. I spent time in Singapore as a teenager and saw Changi prisoner of war camp museum. Latterly I visited Kanchanaburi (Bridge over the Kwai river) Thailand, where thousnds of Japanese prisoners were held in the most inhumane conditions. Many were worked or starved to death. So I do find it hard to look at this as entertainment.
