Was overall a really good launch for this game. Changed the game series to a nice fresh direction. There were some negatives, such as several stats being severely undertuned or near useless, or the time it took to get a build functioning fully. But there were many upsides, such as a number of viable builds, the gameplay loop being fun, although needing more endgame content. Overall, it showed a lot of promise.
But with the first season and first major patch, you really see the devs going in a completely wrong direction with the future of the game. Nerfs to player power, nerfs to xp so the grind is much longer, nerfs to powerleveling so you have to play through the lengthy leveling process every time before you start the main grind that people love. And not just nerfs to offensive power, but also to limited defensive power you have.
Overall, it appears the devs do not know what is fun to the AARPG player and are focusing completely on numbers and nerfing anything that is popular. Which nerfing the popular builds are not only nerfing the most viable builds, but also nerfing what players see as the more fun builds. Until they either listen to the more knowledgeable community members or get a new dev direction, the game's future is going to be limited after the fun first playthrough.
