This movie feels like someone made a list of the top horror genre tropes and threw them all into a movie. The movie goes nowhere with the plot, drags on entirely too long and did it's best to redeem Nicolas Cages acting skills but ultimately disappoints. This movie took inspiration from so many things but refused to stand on it's central premise or commit fully to anything. I was absolutely shocked to see so many critics speak highly of this because it's just utterly terrible. It's a fever dream film that has no point.
