Two stars in this review are pending a season 2 and some needed resolution.
If this is a standalone miniseries without a wrapup, I find it very disappointing. While a slightly different take on the typical dystopian anti-capitalism genre, it lacked any sense of closure that it desperately needed to be a great series; absolutely no payoff at the end.
This felt like M Night Shyamalan's foray into dour animation under a pseudonym.
I really wanted to enjoy a new Netflix animated series!
