Can’t express how disappointed I was in what seems a betrayal of the Reacher character we all loved. Almost felt like lee child did not write this. I hate to criticize Child since reading all of the Reacher books over the years have given me great joy. However, the essence of Reacher is that he lives by his own code of integrity, which includes giving opponents the chance to walk away and only resorting to fatal measures when absolutely necessary. The Reacher in this book is unrecognizable since he seems to have abandoned his principles/code. It is unfathomable why Child would do this to the character or his faithful readers. In addition, many plot twists are completely Implausible. I am at a loss as to why this was done.
