I think the best indication of the show's essence is when the now first lady discovers her son is a teen-age drug dealer and her reaction is akin to him skipping school for a day. This happens while her now presidential husband is going on and on about the need to be honest, sincere and transparent. And yet the idea of this criminal kid turning himself in isn't even explored. Hypocritical white liberalism at it's best.
