Severely disappointed that I wasted my time reading this drivel. It feels like the author read a bunch of really good romance novels, copied the plots onto slips of paper and then randomly drew them out of a hat to create her plot. The dialogue is awkward, there’s too much overbearing, overconfident speech. Over explaining, redundant sentences. If I read one more ‘darling’ or ‘ocean eyes’ I’m going to scream. The chemistry between the two MC feels forced and I didn’t enjoy it at all. All the characters talk the exact same. They feel the same. I rarely DNF books (only one other so far, Haunting Adeline) but I could not be paid to finish this book.
