Apparently someone must've triggered the political weirdos with this movie. It's amazing. The bad hype likely stems from some very sensitive political zealots that were instructed by some cult like leader to brigade bomb this film. It's amazing. They're WEIRD.

People didn't seem to understand this movie when it came out but it is absolutely my favorite Kevin Smith film. It was people I felt knew. Comic book nerds with bad attitudes. Filmed in a mall in my state so the aesthetic was familiar and the content was perfect for my teenage brain. Yes, the acting isn't perfect but the moments it has more than make up for that. From the gerbil story to the yelling at small children over a magic eye to chocolate pretzels. So many iconic moments. It was a movie that made me feel less alone at a time I really needed it. The first movie with a Stan Lee cameo( and his funniest). RIP Shannen Doherty *TY for making this one Kevin*

Really enjoyed it. Wonderful story, acting , cast. Nailed the aesthetics. Can't recommend it enough. Biggest complaint I see is it's not "dramatic/crazy/violent" enough. You know, real stories and real people aren't all about making the craziest story. They're living their lives. They're real people...I appreciate the fact it's trying to maintain a level of reality that today,audiences seem to fail to appreciate. I also think some of these reviews don't really comprehend the change in time from the late 60s to now. Someone actually compared this to SOA... As if it wasn't up to that level of quality. 😅

I'm intelligent enough to be neutral on the politics so I'll keep this about form. I will say trying to monetize this dark zeitgeist is pretty... Faustian. This movie is poorly formulated, has shallow characters that seemingly regess throughout the film until they're doing things that make no sense. The action , although impressive in location at one point, still looks very modern and clean. Really clean. This is a war film. Like brand new box springs for road obstructions.That's actually a problem I'm seeing in films more recently. This cheapness of set and reliance on CGI. This movie pretends to be more than it is. It holds itself up as complicated satire but just feels over the top in its delivery the whole time. It's trying to be subtle while still trying to explain everything. Anyways. This movie, at the end of the day, is just annoying. Especially right now. Most of us want some form of entertainment when we see movies. This felt very much like a lecture taught by a pretentious teacher.

Great , weird, sloppy, funny, cult level action film. Grew up loving it. Still find it to be a wonderful watch whenever I need that 80s action fix.

Beautifully shot and top notch acting with a really interesting story. I love historical dramas and this is as good as they get.

I'm a biased Ghostbusters fan but I really enjoyed it. Fun movie with a little bit for everyone.
