Gemma Park – Google

I don't even like math, but still really loved this book. It truly is a one of a kind and heart felt story. I loved the relationship between the housekeeper and the professor, along with the professor and Root's. It was such a sweet book and may be short, simple read, but certainly remained in my thoughts even after closing the book. It shows the simple pleasures and the importance of friendship in life, and I seriously start crying everytime I think of this book. Gives me a sense of comfort and love.

(sort of spoilers) I fairly enjoyed reading this book. I found the writing very pleasant. The cold and gray, winter setting was expressed very beautifully. I though that the dynamic between the main character and love interest quite strange, however, but it was interesting to explore. Personally, I enjoy a book with a well rounded ending and found the love interest's disappearance quite strange. I expected that this is how it would end, given her manic pixie dream girl-like character (I'm not sure if that term defines her character exactly), but I guess I just expected more out of this book. I don't often recommend this book to people and in shorter words, it was okay.

Winter love

This movie is very intelligent and touching, and I would recommend it to anyone. As you watch these young women develop and grow. A new professor (Julia Roberts) enters a very conservative women's college, focused on traditional ideas. She teaches her art history class to explore more complex questions about art, who also learn to challenge gender norms and expectations. Not only are these young women inspired to lead the life they themselves want to lead (not what other people want), but their teacher learns something about that too; not every woman wants to get an advanced education or have an occupation, because everyone is different and want different things which is perfectly alright. Plus, it includes actresses Julia Roberts, Kirsten Dunst, Julia Stiles, all of which I'm fans of. The only thing I didn't love about this movie is how it had some side plots that didn't seem entirely necessary, but honestly I didn't mind at all. It may be poor judgement on my part actually, and perhaps there was a specific reason for certain aspects that I just didn't quite grasp, so I still give this movie 5 ☆s.
