I love the Alex Cross series and have always enjoyed reading them. I am pretty sure this is the first one that was co-authored. Patterson doesn't appear to have done much of the writing. I am likely to quit before 20% complete. In comparison to the rest of the series, the writing to this seems infantile. I hope Patterson takes to writing at least this series himself. When you have created such dramatic and likable characters, to spoil that letting someone without that connection to the characters write this, did not go well.
