A great novel about Newcastle in the 80's and some of the big events of those times including the earthquake. This novel brings 1980's Newcastle back in vivid 3D detail, it is also a movie about growing up and also a scarily realistic depiction of the cycle of domestic violence. The book itself flows with the ebb and flow of the domestic violence cycle. A novel that you don't want to read but you can't put down! Well worth a read!
