This was a great western tv series. I grew up watching it with my Dad. I still watch reruns of it to this day. James Drury and Doug McClure played their roles as The Virginian and Trampas extremely well. Many other cast members that lived at the Shiloh Ranch and in the town of Medicine Bow were very important to this show's success as well. The show should have been allowed to complete it's run as The Virginian. Once the name was changed to The Men from Shiloh and the whole direction of the show was changed, it marked the beginning of the end of this show. My 5 Stars are for "The Virginian" format.The Men from Shiloh just didn't carry the punch of The Virginian. Not even Drury or McClure could save it. Lee Majors was a fine actor but he was never a fit in "The Men". He and Drury never shared the camera together. And the Shiloh Ranch and Medicine Bow was never as good. RIP James Drury and Doug McClure.
