Spoilers:
So bad it’s good is how I would describe this. It could’ve been a good series but it’s just so completely ridiculous I laughed at several parts that were supposed to be serious.
1) Starting out with the way her daughter died, which is explained early on. First, what type of parent would leave a child alone with a murderer, and how did he manage to kill her when he was chained to a desk?
2) Anna’s fear of water was another thing that seemed so silly. Where do they live that it suddenly downpours out of nowhere repeatedly? Does this fear of rain really cause people to collapse right where they are standing any time it rains?
3) The husband being the therapist would never be allowed, especially since he’s prescribing her meds, because they were married and suffered the trauma of child loss together.
4) The graphic sex scene was not following the tone of the show and uncalled for.
5) How on earth did a 9 year old murder a lady without her dad hearing it downstairs, then manage to move the body by herself within minutes so that the cops wouldn’t see it, and then successfully frame another person for the murder?
The acting was bad, the writing was bad, but I still gave it three stars because I like Kristen Bell and it was still entertaining in spite of being completely unrealistic in every way.
