This contains spoilers. Watched all ten Picards in a week. I got totally confused towards the final few episodes. Suddenly there was this ancient civilization of synthetic life that the modern synths on this planet knew about, that everyone had suddenly discovered, built presumably by Soong's son who we didn't know of before. Suddenly a device that can fix anything if you wish it... Another done to death, portal with the ancient synths coming through. It was, like Discovery, a question of searching for clues, like a modern videogame or role playing game etc. Oh look Picard has a new synth body, which will still age, impressed with his memory engrams and let's suddenly force in that Picard's ex Starfleet female friend and Seven of Nine are bisexual (which I found offensive). Not to mention the foul language and gore, all unnecessary. They've further ripped apart Star Trek.

First ep tedious, too fragmented. I've always loved the film, this is not on a par with it plus it's darker. The generic music by Daniel Pemberton is wall to wall, unmemorable, unlike Trevor Jones' wonderful score for the film. At least we got a snippet of a Jones theme when the title appeared on-screen.
