Even though it does not relate a lot to holes, it's a superb book and when you finish it, the book leaves a warm feeling in your heart and you would wish you could forget the book and read it again. The book starts off slow and boring, but when you keep reading it gets more interesting. Also, you don't need to read holes to understand what's happening because the book explains to help you understand. And also if you read holes it tells you a lot more about armpit and his life and a little about X-rays life as well.
