I loved this show and was so sad that season 2 was cut short because of Covid-19. I really, really hope they make season 3 and that we don't have to wait too long for it. I hadn't heard of the programme until it was suggested for me on BBC iPlayer and I'm so glad I spotted it. It's very similar to Death in Paradise, which I love, but is even better - a little slicker, sharper and cooler with slightly edgier story lines and characters. The chemistry between Max and Miranda is brilliant and Miranda is just an awesome character - fierce yet vulnerable. I admire her many talents and dogged determination so much! I also find the writing very funny and the two actors pull this off well. I think the hostage episode, particularly the scene where Miranda ends up playing the keyboard, was my absolute favourite and I was crying with laughter! The supporting actors are very well cast and add a huge amount to the storylines.The other star of the show is Mallorca. It imbues every scene with stunning vistas, culture and atmosphere and it brings so much extra nuance to the programme as a result. It's made me long to visit.
