This web-series can be watched again and again thanks to the wonderful acting by Kate Beckinsale. Kate had not played the role; she had lived it. The way of expressing her love towards her husband who had been thought to die in a plane crash makes us wonder if there are still people in this world carrying so much of love and affection to their better half. Her expressions for each circumstances make us feel she is an actor par excellence. The screenplay has been made in such a way as to make you sit at the edges and watch all the episodes. There is no single moment of slowness. The innumerable twists and turns in the story makes the conclusion unpredictable. Apart from the actual story, 'The Widow' exposes the grey side of rare earth mineral mining - how children get exploited, money laundering, the mafia who control the mines, and the nexus between the mafia and the government.
