I find the book (am at the 4/5s stage), extremely intellectually entertaining and informative. Obama provides a multi-level view of his rise to the Presidency and his time there. Whether ghost writers were used or not, his voice seems consistently present throughout the long work. An insiders view (THE insider) of political history, and specifically of a very tumultuous swath of it, is delightfully sprinkled with humor and with personal life vignettes. I have to wonder if any other ex-president’s autobiography is as richly written and enjoyable to read. (Suggestions welcome: “ibarria at a o l dot com). I think he wrote in the intro that a part 2 was still in the offing?! I will read that too.
