I thought it was good, but like I’ve seen some people say, it felt very self referential. It felt as though Collins was trying to write her way out of previously established details. I know everything is technically explained as to be compliant with previous books in the series, but it felt like canon-compliant fanfiction instead of a true prequel. (Good fanfiction though!)

Perhaps the most movie movie to ever exist. I'm absolutely baffled by the negative reviews. It's pretty to look at, with distinctive lighting and high visual contrast in the style of live theater. It has high-energy musical numbers, a phenomenal cast (on a related note, Nathan Lane put his heart and soul into his performance), and it's FUNNY. You catch more every time you watch it. Is it a little overdramatic? Ya it's a musical of COURSE it is. 10/10 no notes.
