The first 1 1/2 episodes were a great insite to what happened and the effects on the area. About midway through the second episode, the lady in blue started spouting racism crap about selective rescuing. I jumped up out of my seat and yelled bullshit! I was one of the first helicopter crews out there doing the rescue work on day one, and I can say without question that race was NEVER a factor in the work we did.
Side note, we absolutely did get shot at while flying in and out of the super dome. And attacked while trying to land and rescue people off sections of the interstate in flooded areas.
The 3rd episode was all race bait. I couldn't even finish it.
All in all, it was a horrible tragedy, and I was honored to play my part in a crew that rescued 100's of people, dropped food and water to 100's more that we couldn't get to, and dropped giant sandbags to plug the levy breachs.
