The best one in the franchise. Cinematography was on point. Action was exciting and the storyline was interesting. Not your typical run of the mill slasher. Some supernatural elements that create avenues for the plot to make headway. If you’re not a gore fan, this movie is obviously not for you and you should not take the opinions of people who don’t like horror, are only “casual” horror fans or hate blood in movies into account before you watch this. 5/5 one of the best slashers of all time

Ignore the Rotten Tomatoes scores. Critics are going to hate this film because it avoids checking boxes. It’s a trippy film with lots of original ideas and is meant to be experienced, not simply seen. Marlon Wayans truly plays as the veteran in many layers. And the new young Mr. Withers nails being the inverse in what feels like two competing storylines that melt into each other. Another Monkey Paw production that makes me look forward to the next just like A24 used to.
