I don't know what I was expecting (because I didn't want to predict anything, I wanted to be wowed) This just wasn't it. Don't get me wrong, Anna is so delightful to watch. It definitely reminded me of how much I liked kitty in the former franchise but I don't know, the writers kind of buried that charm that I was led to believe she was the supporting character in her own story.
Lara Jean was such an undeniable character that I found myself drowning more and more in her. With Kitty, I got lost. It felt like the creators wanted to create so much drama that they lost touch with her character and that's what makes a great movie. The essence of the characters duh.
The gay plots were unnecessary: don't get me started on the obsession with this particular concept. It's like we can't breathe straight air no more. I don't want to dwell on this but it was unnecessary, especially with Kitty and Yuri's fate. It made no sense to me. There was no chemistry from the start. It made it so hard to put together.
And yeah, the acting? Cringe. Especially that Minho character.
I'm not mad at the cast at all infact they were pleasing to watch. ALL the characters were charming, down to French boy Florian BUT this could have been SO MUCH MORE.
Maybe it shouldn't have been a series actually, because it felt like they tried so hard to just fill it up.
I still love Anna though. Always and forever.
