So far not impressed with the game at all, other than the graphics. It is extremely frustrating to play, not just because the difficulty level has been turned up from Survival Evolved, but also because there are some glitches that will come into play in order to make it even harder. For example, the fall damage is extremely glitched. The other day, I died from dismounting my Pteradon that was on the ground on sandy beach. I fell and died. I ran down a small drop and fell and died. The guys I'm playing with have experienced the same issue with fall damage. Then there was the glitch where my pteradon ran out of stamina and instead of landing, it just stopped and hung out in mid air. I had to dismount and fell to my death, and then even though I came right back to the spot, my corpse was gone along with all my stuff. Had to start over again. Then there was the time when I glitched through the terrain and got stuck underneath the ground. This happened while I was attempting to tame something and the tame failed because I couldn't protect my tame while stuck in a rock. And I've also noticed that when you start to try and tame something in this game, you'll build a trap in a safe location. But then all of a sudden the game will start spawning a bunch of dangerous creatures right on top of the location. I realize the game is a survival game and it's supposed to be difficult. All I'm saying is that by this point in my Island map that I'm playing, I would have already successfully tamed an Argentavis by now, but I can't even get close due to the high difficulty combining with glitches to ruin every attempt.
