it's a film that's asking questions rather than giving answers . i was on edge throughout , despite having an inkling about what the 'end' might mean . it is , indeed , beautifully directed , and i appreciated the small glimpses into each character's humanity . other films employing this style have been easily fumbled , but this take is clean , concise and believable (despite the this movie will anger some people , truly incite others , and may move the rest of us into thought and conversation about what (and whom) we value most . ps -- the world right now is 'real' enough : i suggest we take this snapshot , this capsule , as the fiction it is and discover for ourselves meaning a piece of art like this can give us .

I was shaken through the film. We stopped halfway to change the laundry and I asked my husband to accompany me to the basement. That’s something! I was too scared. Benicio del Toro was fantastic. I wish the end of the movie was as good as the beginning!
