I’m a writer so my attention to the writers is at the forefront here. I liked the series and watched it in one sitting but it wasn’t without extreme frustration. There were parts of the series that were dragging on like a Telenovela. For instance, how many episodes did we have to spend repeating the same narrative for Marianne and Ryan over and over again? We get it, Ryan is abusive and narcissistic…did we need 5 episodes to reiterate this? Also, how many episodes were they going to string along Matthew’s narrative of looking through the cameras only for it to NOT PAY OFF. I almost threw my shoe at the TV when his foolish self deleted the footage. I DID in fact through my shoe at the TV when the dumbest character of all, Theo, decided to look for keys to get Sherry and Cary out instead of heading straight to the police who would definitely be able to get them out! I don’t enjoy watching characters who lack common sense. Also, I need the writers to stop insulting our intelligence. By now, we know that the Police would be on Joe’s case. He’s had how many people connected to him die in 3 seasons? The police would definitely be putting things together. Instead he lives in a dream world with no legal consequences, even when things get messy and are unexpected. For instance, the writers want us to believe that they live in a town with cameras that can show what’s going on inside of Joe & Love’s house but no cameras at the facility where Ryan was killed? In this multi-verse do police even check for finger prints or DNA which would have been found on Gil and Ryan MOST DEFINITELY. Last but not least, the writers could have exercised more originality in the finale. They stole the “planting poison” plot point (and shot) from Georgia and Ginny as well as the “Ted Talk” tour after escaping death from Money Heist!
