A horror movie in the Dickensian model. As maus's head scarf changes in colour and form into a burial shroud. The ghosts of the the past, present and future of the Bosnian experience are visited on the European. The European ineffectiveness in the face of Serbian atrocities and the futile dependence on the USA to resolve this European horror are explored here. Whether its the 911 call for help which gets hung up on, or the attempt to bribe a way out. The european is shown as not prepared to face up to what was happening. The accusation made is that the bosnians called on europe and europe didn't answer and left them to the Serbs. The ghost of the future shows that the horror left unchecked will visit the European in their own safe places and and destroy their loved ones. I thought it was a great film on a lot of levels.
