I decided to watch this movie against my better judgment wanting to watch something that doesn't require much brain power to comprehend. Well, mission accomplishedโthis movie not only demands zero thinking, but it might actually make you dumber. I still canโt believe I sat through the whole thing. he storyline was painfully clichรฉ, the characters were classic horror movie stereotypes- devoid of any critical thinking or reasoning skills. The demonic entities were cartoonish. And to top it off, both the screenplay and acting were abysmal.
If you still feel the urge to watch it, hereโs a quick summary: A group of friends books a weekend stay at a massive mansion they found online. While exploring, they stumble upon a locked door labeled "Keep Out," which, of course, they immediately break open. Inside the basement, they discover eerie satanic artifacts. Naturally, they decide to mess with the most obviously cursed object they can findโbecause it ain't a horror movie without it. Then the friends start dying one by one, so they decided to take help from a random old lady, who also dies providing no real input. Eventually, the protagonist miraculously saves the day with a heartfelt speech to the demonic entity, thanks toโbrace yourselfโ"the power of friendship." And thatโs it. The end.
I wish I could have saved myself from this cringe-fest and gone on a walk instead.
